The Site (including prices)

Stoneclose Campsite at High Rigg Farm is located in the heart of Dalby Forest. It is a small family friendly site popular with families and people of all ages.

We have a large section of the site dedicated to tents but we are conscious not to overcrowd the site and therefore have approximately ten tents pitched at any one time. This enables the centre of the site to be kept clear for children to play or just give campers more space.

Camping is £9.00 per adult per night and children under 16 are £5.00 per night. Children under 5 are free and electric hook-up is £4.00 per night.  Hook-up charges could increase depending on what happens with the current energy crisis.

Caravans/Motorhomes/Camper Vans
We are an independent fully licenced six van site so guests do not need to be members of any club in order to stay here. Caravans, motorhomes and camper vans are also charged at £9.00 per adult per night, children under 16 are £5.00 per night, under 5’s are free and electric hook-up is £4.00 per night but again, hook-up prices could increase.

Electric hook-up is available upon request at the time of booking.

Emphasis is placed on the site appealing to families and people wanting peace and quiet on a night. Numbers of guests are limited resulting in there being ample space for children to play in the centre of the tenting area watched over by parents who can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere knowing they are safe.

Just returned from two nights on the site in a pod. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend despite pretty dire weather. The site is clean and tidy and far enough away from the main forest action to ensure peace and quiet.
The site was fantastic for children, ample room to play and as stated in the site information, it allows you to relax whist keeping and eye on them. If you want a lovely site where you can chill out and not be disturbed by the lager drinking masses, this is for you.
First time in a pod ( tent broken ) and really found it comfortable. Its not glamping, its simple clean and waterproof accommodation. We will definitely return as we loved it.
Thanks to the hosts for their time and hard work.

Hello, We have just arrived home after 5 days with you. We just wanted to say a big thank you for a lovely site that was warm and friendly. Plenty of room for the children to play, clean and quiet. The food for our bbq was delicious too. We certainly recommend the sausages etc, very tasty indeed. Hope to come again, Linda and Peter (plus daughter and family)

Thank you so much for your hospitality. Our stay was wet and windy but still an absolute pleasure. The kids loved meeting the animals and I am now addicted to your sausages and duck eggs! We’ll be back as soon as you can fit us in. I haven’t got a bad word to say about the site, which is quite unusual for me 🙂

Just had a fantastic few days here with my son in a Camping Pod! Everything was lovely and it was so peaceful. Facilities all great and we loved the pods and it was good fun being on a working farm & to see all the animals. Helen was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Being in the middle of the Dolby Forest was really good as there was so much to do, including Go Ape and all the bike rides etc. We will definitely be back in the summer with our friends!

Were on the last night of a 2 night stay , we love the site and can’t fault it. Helen is extremely hard working giving everyone a lovely friendly welcome. We highly recommend Helens Home Baking, We had cheese scones this afternoon and Rhubard crumble muffins after tea. Both were extremely Light and tasty. Helen even baked them for mid afternoon so we could have fresh scones and a cuppa tea after a days walking.
The Site is on a working farm, Its been nice to see all the animals. The caravan pitches are well spaced out and the grass and hedges all well kept. The facilities are well kept and the showers are free and plenty of hot water. We’d like to say a big thank you to Helen and we will see you in July

Excellent for kids as so safe and everyone was so friendly. Fab large pitches with plenty of room, clean facilities and fresh running water. Cant recommend Helen and Richards site enough!
